Tactical Medicine / TECC

TacMed 1 TECC class is focused on the treatment of traumatic injuries in a tactical environment using M.A.R.C.H. protocols and follows the Committee for TECC guidelines. Stop the Bleed Certification included. This is a 4 hour course.

Optional AHA BLS Hands-On skills testing (after completion of AHA online BLS CPR/AED class); $30.

Topics covered: Simulation Scenarios, Safety Zones, Patient Trauma Assessment, Tourniquet Application, Maintaining Airway & NPAs, Bag Mask use, Wound Packing/Management, Chest Seals/Pneumothorax, Broken Bones & Dislocations. Stop the Bleed Certification included. CPR/AED (optional AHA Skills Testing $30)

TacMed 2 TECC class is a continuation of TacMed 1, but focused on the treatment of medical issues in a tactical environment. This class follows the Committee for TECC guidelines. Stop the Bleed Certification included.

Option for AHA BLS CPR/AED Hands-On skills testing after successful completion of the AHA online BLS class: $30.

Topics covered: Review of TacMed 1, then... Patient Medical Assessment, Cardiac Arrest, Shock, Stroke, Hypothermia, Heat Stroke, Airway Obstruction, Anaphylaxis, Drug Overdose.

CPR/AED (optional AHA Skills Testing $30)

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action to empower bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. This course is based on the Hartford Consensus and teaches participants to recognize life-threatening bleeding and the skills to stop it.

Topics covered: Recognizing life-threatening bleeding, applying direct pressure, wound packing, tourniquet application, and calling for help.

Upon successful completion, participants receive an American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed certification card.
